Face Up
Todays patients with sagging facial and neck skin are looking for procedures with minimal intervention, minimal incisions, minimal time off work, and a positive result. The Face Up procedure can accomplish these goals.
Zone 1 – lifts the outer eyebrow and forehead area
Zone 2 – lifts the malar cheek area
Zone 3 – lifts the maxillary cheek area
Zone 4 – lifts the jowl and neck area
Dr. Dmytryshyn was trained in South America by the surgeons who first developed this technique, and is the only surgeon in Canada performing this procedure.
The Face Up procedure does not replace a facelift, but is commonly done before a facelift is needed, or after a facelift to tighten the face, and for those patients who do not wish to undergo a facelift.
How it Works
The Face Up procedure involves the use of small incisions, placed within the hairline, using sutures to lift the face and neck. Because these incisions are small and hidden, this procedure has been known as Invisible Facelifting.
The procedure is most commonly done under light anesthesia. It is done with minimal risk to the patient and leaves the face looking natural. The results of this procedure are immediate.
Recovery Process
Following the procedure the face may feel tight and this sensation will subside over several months. Minimal swelling and bruising may occur and is variable with each patient. Occasional dimpling of the skin may occur and is generally resolved within 4 weeks.
The Face Up procedure is often done with facial and neck liposuction and can be done with other facial procedures such as eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) and nose surgery (rhinoplasty).
